On October 11th…
On October 11, 1968, Apollo 7, the first manned Apollo mission, launched into space. The three astronauts aboard were Walter Schirra Jr, Donne Eisele and Walter Cunningham. They orbited the earth for 11 days and conducted the first live television broadcast from orbit.
